There’s a new disturbing trend that’s popped up on YouTube, and I can’t stop thinking about it. News outlets like The Daily Mailand The Huffington Post are reporting that a growing number of adolescents (between the ages of 11 to 14) are posting videos asking, “am I ugly?” and urging commenters to leave thoughts about their looks.

We can’t take credit for discovering Ingrid — she actually discovered us way back in October (check out her first Birchbox haul!) Since then, we’ve been wowed not just by her helpful tutorials but also by her exhaustive beauty know-how. We’re so excited to be adding her to our editorial roster. Every month, Ingrid will be creating special video tutorials for Birchbox — keep an eye out for her first one in a couple weeks. She’ll also be writing a monthly column for the Birchbox magazine called “Ask Ingrid” — which is where you come in! What question do you want to ask Miss Glam? Tell us in the comments!
