If you keep up with what’s going on in the Birchbox office, then you know that just about everyone is obsessed with Oribe. At almost every woman’s desk around our HQ, you can find either a can of the Dry Texturizing Spray or the Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray. I’ve always been a fan of the product line as well, but it wasn’t until recently that I discovered its Gel Serum, of which I am now a complete devotee.

I’m a big fan of scents that can be worn by both guys and girls. Although, one possible (and potentially embarrassing) pitfall here is, as a guy, smelling too flowery or feminine. That is absolutely not the case with Costume National’s Scent Intense, deigned by famed perfumer Laurent Bruyere.

Every once in a while, I get the exciting chance to see a new product before it’s released into the universe. Such was the case this morning when I learned that Nuxe (a favorite French pharmacy brand of everyone at Birchbox) will be bringing their fantastic men’s line to the U.S. this April. These products have been delighting guys in Europe for the last few years, and now American dudes can get in on the fun, too.

Although we here in NYC are currently in the midst of winter, it’s both important and encouraging to think toward summer when more skin will be showing. Exfoliation is easy for the guys to forget about, especially when it comes to their bodies, but it’s an important step to help remove dead skin and allow new skin cells to make their way to the surface. In order to have a healthy clear complexion, exfoliating is a necessity.

Okay, so maybe it wasn’t a full spa day, but I did spend a lovely afternoon with the ladies behind Olìe Biologique at their recent trunk show at Equinox. This brand (pronounced “Oh-lee Bee-oh-loh-jeek”) is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

I know that dressing and grooming for New Year’s Eve can be stressful and daunting. I often find myself scrambling at the last minute to come up with some totally new outfit or hair look that I can rock for the most festive night of the year. To avoid this kind of crisis, my advice is to pick just one thing you that can change or add to your ensemble (yes, I am talking flair) and focus on that. For example, you could spruce up your favorite blazer with the Bonobos pocket square that you received in your Birchbox Man box. Or you could try slicking back your hair using a gel (my favorite is from Davines).
