Anthropologie is one of my favorite places to look for inspiration, whether it’s browsing the racks in person or online. Currently, I’m loving this room from their online shop. It’s full of drama, and the dark taupe walls and deep purple accents feel all grown up. Accordingly, I’m layering a nude taupe polish with a light grey on my nails, lining my upper lashes with purple smudgy liner, and covering lips with a berry gloss.

Well, they did it. After months of anticipation, the Missoni Go International Collection for Target has hit stores — and it’s caused quite a ruckus. In fact, it’s managed to crash Target’s presumably robust servers…Whoops! While you’re waiting patiently to buy your zig-zaggy goods, why not get inspired by vintage Missoni (yes, that’s Ms. Moss) and try out a ’70s goddess look? Here’s what you’ll need:
- Lots of bronzer. Skip the sparkle and go with something matte and tawny, like Cargo’s version.
- Lots of eyeliner. Messy is good, and make sure to line both the upper and lower lids. Smudge it out.
Watch our video and learn how to apply bronzer the right way.
A style force to be reckoned with, Sara Zucker is well known for providing daily outfit inspiration and scoping out incredible finds via her Tumblr, Farpitzs (which is the Yiddish word for ‘all dressed up,’ just in case you were curious). As if being one of the most popular fashion voices in the blogosphere wasn’t time consuming enough, the well-heeled trendsetter also happens to be Glamour magazine’s community manager. Lucky for us, she was able to make some time in her busy schedule to guest blog for us this week. Check back daily as Zucker shares everything from her favorite fall trends to what’s in her cosmetics bag.

Sure, it’s 90 degrees outside, but stores are beginning to put fall merchandise into full view. It is so strange to be pulling on tank tops and tiny shorts to avoid sweating on the subway and then suddenly, it’s time to start thinking about next season! By September, I have finally come to grips with the inevitable cooler temperatures and when the foliage starts to change, so does my beauty routine. I reflect the chillier weather in the nail colors that I wear by veering toward shimmery jewel tones like plum, emerald, and navy blue. And since my wardrobe perpetually borders on neutral overload, a deep saturated lip color is the perfect way to add brightness to any gray, black, tan, or ivory look I create.
Another major necessity for fall? A berry-hued cheek stain like RMS Beauty’s Lip2Cheek in Promise.
I am headed down to Miami this weekend for some fun in the sun (and by that, I mean under an umbrella with a hat and plenty of SPF by my side—I am very into protecting my pale skin). I just got a fresh new cut courtesy of Jeff Chastain, last night I went spray tanning (just because I don’t indulge in UV rays doesn’t mean I don’t want to look glowy), and all that was left to get me ready for my trip was to pack my bag. In addition to all the Neutrogena Body Mist Sunblock that I’ll be buying once I am there—obviously I go carry-on and can’t travel with oversize liquids—below are a few of the items that made the cut.
Sircuit Skin Molecular Mist: An addition to my bag earlier today, this spray is perfect for the plane because it contains Heavy Water, a complex that allows skin to absorb and retain a ton more moisture that it does normally.
YSL Gloss Pur in Pur Sorbet: This provides the loveliest light pinky-lilac color and it smells amazing.
Weleda Wild Rose Facial Lotion: I got a travel-size sample in my box last month (yes, I am a subscriber!) and I love how this lotion is light yet at the same time deeply nourishing.
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads: Even though I spray tanned just yesterday, I am bringing these along because the color fades from my face first. Plus, if I am not going to be sitting in the sun, this is a good way to get my Vitamin D.
J.Crew Twist Bandeau Underwire Suit in Charcoal: I bought this swimsuit from J.Crew last season and it is easily my favorite. Perhaps the best feature is that it comes with a removable strap in case you want to wear as a halter.
Kimchi Blue Cummerbund Short: I usually go for simply-cut shorts, but these patterned ones caught my eye. They are surprisingly flattering and they have an elastic waistband that makes them perfect for slipping on and off at the beach.
Sue Devitt Eye Intensifier Pencil in Bangalore: I don’t go anywhere without this pencil these days. The entire color range is lovely, but for whatever reason I really gravitate towards this golden-green.

A Week Of: Eyeliner
Monday: Sue Devitt Eye Pencil Intensifier in Bangalore, $22, birchbox.com
Who doesn’t love the idea of easy eyeliner? The latest shades from Sue Devitt’s line of Eye Intensifier Pencils makes glamming up a breeze. The pencil goes on thick, creating a liner/shadow effect, which was perfect because I was going for the smudgy less-perfected look. The finishing touch? Volumize your lashes with a thickening mascara such as the Benefit BADgal Lash or DiorShow Exstase. The contrast helps amp up the fun fun-yet-sophisticated olive color.
Tuesday: Le Metier de Beaute Liquid Liner in Aqua, $42, nordstrom.com
I’ve never been one to shy away from winged liner. This time, I wanted to take this look to next level by incorporating some serious color. Using the Le Metier de Beaute Liquid Liner in Aqua, I started from the inner most part of my eye and drew 1/8” line above my lashes. I then filled in this line to create a thick, dramatic burst of color. To create the wing, I extended my original line out and slightly up, making it gradually thinner. if you’re not sure how far to extend the wing, my trick is to use my eyebrow as a guide. Your wing should extend farther than this point.
