We’ve been planning our dream weddings since we were five years old. So it’s no surprise that we can’t get enough of Lover.ly, a wedding inspiration and e-commerce site. Once a week, the ladies behind Lover.ly will be sharing their expert advice on all things nuptials—whether you’re standing at the altar or enjoying a view of it from the audience.
Logistics Coordinator, Loren, has a thing for nails—and we can’t blame her. We love reading about new finishes and fun techniques, so we thought we’d give her a slot on our blog to wax poetic about all things manicure (and pedicure!) related.
Hello, spring! The mood-lifting effects of longer days and warmer weather have put a bounce in everyone’s step here at Birchbox HQ. The skirts are flowing, the shoulders are bare, and the polishes are vibrant—which of course means that our Operations Team (@BirchboxOps), a.k.a. If you saw the recent news that we’ve moved into a new office—complete with bright walls and loads of couches—you could probably tell we’re big fans of colorful environments. So it felt only natural that we interview one of our favorite designers and a huge proponent of color, Jonathan Adler, for an article this month about increasing your energy with the five senses. His advice for staying energized? “Surround yourself with the stuff you love. And when in doubt, add wallpaper. Color, pattern, fun: what’s not to love?”
“My favorite colors are the turquoise blue of the sea and the sky, the fluffy white of the occasional cloud, and the blazing orange of the sun. If I could live in a world of turquoise and orange only, I’d be very happy.”

For your entertainment, the five performances from last night that we’re playing on repeat this morning:
Notable Quotables is a weekly series featuring a great quote. Whether it’s the founder of a beloved beauty brand, an eccentric makeup artist making headlines, or even a super-stylish celebrity, our favorite tastemakers always have something worth sharing.
Of all the beauty ad campaigns celebrities can book, CoverGirl is one of the pinnacles. CoverGirls are an exclusive group of models and actresses, and being chosen to represent the brand is a real sign that you’ve “made it.” Now, singer Pink joins the ranks of spokeswomen that include Taylor Swift, Sofia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres, and Dania Ramirez. Pink spoke with WWD about the ad campaign, which will launch in November:
"Joining a group of women who have always inspired me — to laugh out loud, let my guard down or play around with my beauty look — is such an honor.”
