If you saw the recent news that we’ve moved into a new office—complete with bright walls and loads of couches—you could probably tell we’re big fans of colorful environments. So it felt only natural that we interview one of our favorite designers and a huge proponent of color, Jonathan Adler, for an article this month about increasing your energy with the five senses. His advice for staying energized? “Surround yourself with the stuff you love. And when in doubt, add wallpaper. Color, pattern, fun: what’s not to love?”
“My favorite colors are the turquoise blue of the sea and the sky, the fluffy white of the occasional cloud, and the blazing orange of the sun. If I could live in a world of turquoise and orange only, I’d be very happy.”

One day I will run the New York City Marathon. But not this year. This year, I will yet again be a spectator during my favorite Manhattan event, which takes place this Sunday. If you live in or near the city and have never checked it out before, you absolutely should. About 44,000 people will run it this year and whether it’s to raise money for a cause or to prove something to themselves, each person has a different reason for being there. It’s incredibly inspirational and motivating.
In a few hours, I’m off to Quebec — Mont Tremblant to be exact — for a short weekend getaway, and I couldn’t be more excited. I typically drive up during the wintertime for the phenomenal skiing, but since it’s summer, I’ll be hiking, biking, kayaking, taking the cable car up to the mountain casino, eating lots and lots of delicious fondue, and hopefully learning a bit of French along the way. I’ll be cramming lots of activities into the next three days, so here’s what I’m bringing to get me through the weekend.
Zoya Polish in Minka: This neutral polish is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a relaxed day of hiking or going out to a club at night. What’s especially nice is that because it’s beige, chips aren’t that noticeable.
Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Glow: I rarely leave my apartment without applying this tinted moisturizer. It’s super quick and easy and evens out my complexion.
BCBGeneration Greyhound Racerback Romper: I’m recently obsessed with rompers and this is one is a cinch to dress down during the day or dress up with heels at night. I think I’ve bought four new rompers this summer alone!
Dr.Dennis Gross SPF 30 Towelettes: Since I’ll be outside a lot, I’m bringing these convenient towelettes so I can reapply sunscreen without having to carry around a messy bottle. Perfect for several hours of kayaking.
Nike Sneakers: I’m not the most athletic person in the world, but my brother assured me that we’re only hiking down the mountain, so I think I’ll be fine with the help of these sturdy sneaks.
Warby Parker Everett Shades: I had a blast visiting the WP showroom a few days ago, and couldn’t resist buying a pair for myself! I’m bringing these new shades along so I can look almost as cool as all the Frenchies.
NARS The Multiple in South Beach: This sheer stick is so versatile, I can use it on almost any part of my face. It’s especially great on my lips to add a little shimmer.
