Earlier this month we were also wowed by the purple-blue jewel tone eyes on the models at Jason Wu and Thakoon’s shows at New York Fashion Week. Inspired by the models on the runway, we enlisted celebrity makeup artist Ana Marie to give us a step-by-step tutorial on a more wearable version of the jewel tone eye using Lancôme products. Taffeta and Chuck Taylors: What We’ll Be Wearing to the Oscars

As you might have heard, there is a major awards show fast approaching. This Sunday, the Birchbox eds will be camped out at Bene’s Brooklyn apartment to watch all the Oscars festivities, and live-tweeting the whole affair. (Be sure to follow @Birchbox on twitter and use the hashtag #Oscars to join our red carpet and showtime conversation!) 

You can bet that there will be cocktails, there will be scorecards, and lordy there may even be a popcorn bar at our viewing party to keep our spirits high during the four-hour-long show. We’re also taking inspiration from SRSLY and making our Oscars party a black tie affair—though we’ll be skipping those crippling stilettos in favor of good ol’ sneaks. Here’s what we’ll be wearing this Sunday.
