Guest Blogger: The Road Tested Gets Met Ball Reddy

This week we’re lucky to have Natalie Zfat as our guest blogger. As the co-founder of The Road Tested, a product review site committed to delivering honest, fearless critiques of beauty’s biggest brands on the road, Zfat is more than up for the challenge. In fact, she could do this sort of thing in her sleep. Zfat first got into the world of products and electronics while working in the editorial department at Rolling Stone, and now spends her time editing TRT and and working at New York events startup Poison Ivy.

Spring is the perfect time of year to try a bold nail pattern, and Milani’s Specialty Nail Lacquer Jewel FX is just the trick. Check out The Road Tested’s Met Ball red carpet look above: a base of O.P.I’s Big Apple Red glazed with Milani’s Specialty Lacquer Jewel FX in Silver.

Vibrant colors, elegant gowns, and sequins that sparkle like diamonds? A girl’s best friend!

Guest Blogger: The Road Tested Swears By Shobha

This week we’re lucky to have Natalie Zfat as our guest blogger. As the co-founder of The Road Tested, a product review site committed to delivering honest, fearless critiques of beauty’s biggest brands on the road, Zfat is more than up for the challenge. In fact, she could do this sort of thing in her sleep. Zfat first got into the world of products and electronics while working in the editorial department at Rolling Stone, and now spends her time editing TRT and and working at New York events startup Poison Ivy.

At The Road Tested, my co-founder Chondra and I are hell-bent on providing honest, no-nonsense product reviews. As New Yorkers, we certainly have no shortage of reasons and seasons to test them.

Spring means showing off skin for the first time in six months, and one of the salons that has maintained our trust and respect over the last four years is hair removal haven Shobha, who whip our eyebrows into shape—thread by thread—and use soothing products (Rosewater Calming Gel, eco-friendly Brow Pencil) to get us ready for each event and photo shoot.

The salon, inspired by the owner’s heritage in India, prides itself on premium-quality practices and original, as-natural-as-possible products, even boasting an edible Sugaring Gel (sugar, water, glycerin, and lemon juice)! We recently drank it (don’t judge us) in a ‘Shobharita’ during their Shohba de Mayo party at the salon’s Madison Avenue location. We don’t always advocate eating where you wax, but it’s bizarrely comforting knowing that you can.
