A Field Trip to Halle Berry’s Hollywood Skin Haven, Kinara Spa

We fell hard for Natalie Alcala last fall, when the LA-based writer and blogger spent a week guest blogging for us. In fact, we loved her posts so much that we asked her to be a contributing editor. In addition to blogging for us once a week, she’ll also be writing for the Birchbox Magazine and keeping us up to speed on all things fashion, beauty, and fun.

L.A. has tons of spas. As the home to Hollywood’s top stars, the city is oozing with fitness centers, healthy eateries, and beautification destinations to ensure that these million-dollar bodies and faces are well-preserved. And although non-famous residents, like myself, are not part of this six-figure club, we’re lucky to have these celebrity-approved establishments at our disposal. One of these gems is Kinara Skin Care Clinic & Spa, located in West Hollywood’s Design District.

Well & Good NYC Picks the Best Wellness Week Deals

Despite my gluttonous tendencies, I’m actually a bit of a wellness geek. I love trying new exercise classes, and have undergone more nutty spa treatments that is probably advisable. But in the age of $30 spin classes and $9 green juices, taking care of yourself can get very spendy. Which is why SpaFinder’s Wellness Week, kicking off March 21st, is so awesome. Twice a year, spas, gyms, and studios across the country offer huge deals on their best classes and treatments — usually at least 50% off. It’s the perfect opportunity to kickstart a healthy routine, test out new fitness classes, or treat yourself to a swanky spa treatment.

Wellness Week happens nationwide (browse deals near you on the SpaFinder site), and in New York, we’re lucky to have a slew of tempting options. Thankfully our friends at Well and Good have put together a handy insider’s guide. Book early, before all the deep tissue massages and private pilates sessions are gone!
