You’re invited: Join us for a live Google Hangout next Wednesday, February 19, with celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa! She’s the brains behind the Beachwaver, a game-changing rotating curling iron (see it in action here).
We’re giving three Birchbox fans the chance to try out the Beachwaver, then join us live for a Google Hangout on February 19 at 4 p.m. ET to ask her your questions live about getting perfect beach waves!
Here’s how it works:
1. RSVP to the Hangout here.
2. Tweet Sarah your questions and tag @sarahpotempa and #AskSarah.
3. We’ll pick 3 fans on Friday, February 14, to join us virtually during the live Hangout on Wednesday!
4. If you’re chosen, we’ll send you each a Beachwaver to try out at home before the Hangout!
Then tune in to our Google+ page next Wednesday, February 19, at 4 p.m. ET to watch live and learn hairstyling tips straight from Sarah! Plus, you could win a Beachwaver just for asking a question during the Hangout!
Looking forward to reading your hair questions!
Few things get us as excited as an amazing hair day (it’s the simple things in life, right?). If there’s anyone who knows how to take a blah-day to absolutely stellar, it’s stylist Sarah Potempa.
After working with stars like Michelle Williams and Lea Michele, and creating her own line of strand-saving tools (a QVC regular), it’s clear that there are few who can better handle a stubborn mane quite like she can. But don’t take our word for it—read on to find out more about one of our fave Hollywood mane mavens, and hear about the amazing tool she developed to get you the perfect beachy waves.
1. Can you tell us a little bit about your background?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved styling hair. When I first moved to New York City, I began assisting some incredibly talented artists like Recine and Danilo in their editorial campaigns before being signed by The Wall Group. I love my job because everyday is different. One day I will be working with celebrity clients such as Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen or Jake Gyllenhaal and the next I’ll be creating editorial hair on the beach. In addition to styling hair, I have also been a spokesperson for Aussie hair products for 5 years.
Then a few years ago, I started my own company SARAHPOTEMPA, Inc and in January 2012 we launched our tools on QVC.
