4 Products To Fight Fall Frizz
The air is getting dryer, and that means statically-charged strands and poofy, frizzy locks. What’s worse is your beloved hair dryer and heated styling tools tend to add to the problem by stripping your hair of moisture and natural oils in an already dry season. No need to panic, try these super-smoothing products to get the sleek, shiny hair you crave:
- Bain de Terre argon oil & passion flower COLOR THERAPY STYLING OIL. A little goes a long way with this incredible oil. It’s formulated for color-treated hair, but works wonders for natural locks as well. A blend of argon, mono, and passion flower oils improves hair’s resilience and adds silkiness and shine. Stressed out strands will be frizz free with only a few drops.
- DevaCurl One Condition Hydrate. Those with curly hair, this one goes out to you. Without proper hydration, your bouncy spirals will turn into a frizzy, shapeless mess. The natural botanicals in this cream smooth and moisturize hair for healthy, lightweight curls.
- Miss Jessie’s Original Pillow Soft Curls. Say goodbye to heavy creams and crunchy styling products. This lotion uses avocado, coconut, sweet almond, and olive oils to heal strands and give your hair a voluminous healthy bounce.
- Klorane Mousse With Chamomile. Lighter and thinner than a typical mousse, this amazing formula leaves hair smoother, shinier, and brighter after every use. Chamomile is rich in apigenine, a golden pigment that works especially well in blonde hair. No worries though, my darker-haired friends, this mousse brightens hair, but won’t leave you with bleached locks.

There comes a time in our lives when we have to admit that maybe we have a few too many products. Sure, you’ve already sorted your lipsticks and polishes based on frequency of use—but if you’re spending more than five minutes fishing out your favorite eyeliner, you may want to rethink your methods. Our community manager Rachel likes to toss everything in her sink when she’s getting ready for an event, which cuts down on rummaging in her bag for products. What do you do to streamline your beauty routine?

A style force to be reckoned with, Sara Zucker is well known for providing daily outfit inspiration and scoping out incredible finds via her Tumblr, Farpitzs (which is the Yiddish word for ‘all dressed up,’ just in case you were curious). As if being one of the most popular fashion voices in the blogosphere wasn’t time consuming enough, the well-heeled trendsetter also happens to be Glamour Magazine’s community manager. Lucky for us, she was able to make some time in her busy schedule to guest blog for us this week. Check back daily as Zucker shares everything from her favorite fall trends to what’s in her cosmetics bag.

Being a fashion and beauty blogger, I am constantly being asked what cosmetics I always have on hand. It’s a hard question to answer because I love to experiment and I’m pretty non-committal, so there isn’t one particular product that I’ve used for more than a couple years. Nevertheless, my makeup bag is home to multiple curl-enhancing hair cremes — I loathe the crunchiness that gel creates — and dark lip colors. I also like to accentuate my eyebrows with a tint or brow powder.
