It’s hard to believe that today marks the two year anniversary of my college graduation. In celebration, my four best friends and I are planning a reunion trip this Memorial Day weekend to Puerto Rico! I love New York City, but I’m super pumped to lay on a beach with my girlfriends far, far away from the concrete jungle. Here are some of the essentials that I’m bringing along for my trip:
1. COOLA Cucumber Moisturizing SPF 30 for Face
COOLA is my favorite brand for anything SPF related. I’m indian, so I tan quick (understatement)! So it’s super important for me to carry a powerful SPF product when I’m in the sun and this one is great because it doesn’t feel heavy or leave any white residue on your face.
2. Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk
I tend to rock third day hair while on vacation, so carrying a dry shampoo with me is crucial. Klorane’s is great because it also adds texture to my hair—perfect for beachy waves.

I wouldn’t trade New York for any other city, but right about this time of year I start to miss the ocean like whoa. I’m headed to Hawaii this week to visit family and get my fix of palm trees, sand, and spam musubi. (Not kidding—don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.) Here’s what I’m packing for my tropical escape.
1. La Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser: I’m a big proponent of face wipes, both at work (key when product-testing) and when traveling. These hydrating wipes have both aloe vera and vitamin E—they’ll come in handy on the 12-hour flight as well as any beach adventures.
As much as we love nail art, we’re better at admiring designs than coming up with them ourselves. That’s why we’ve enlisted Anna Norman, the smarty pants behind Glitter, She Wrote, to be a regular contributor. Every Monday, she’ll be sharing her latest lacquer inspiration—you won’t be satisfied with plain ol’ polish again.
With fall in full swing and Halloween just a couple days away, there’s no better time for dark, vampy nails. When I first started playing around with polish, I steered clear of darks for fear of looking too harsh, especially since my skin is so fair. But as long as you keep a few things in mind, there’s no reason to banish these shades from your nail polish repertoire. Whether you’re eyeing a deep burgundy or cutting to the chase with black, follow these tips to keep your mani stylish—never severe.

One of the season’s hottest hues: tenoverten’s Commerce shade.
We’ve all been there: you get to the airport excited to start your trip and then 6, 8, 10 hours later you step off the plane disheveled, tired-looking, and dehydrated. But long flights don’t have to be miserable. If you’re going on vacation in the next few months (or even if you’re just dreaming about the beach) you’ll want to brush up on our tips for staying happy and healthy throughout the flight. Take a few precautions, and you’ll step off the plane looking just as fresh and chic as when you arrived at the airport.

This time of year, most of us are dreaming of tropical getaways. But Nicole, our office manager (also known as She Who Makes Magic Happen), is about to jet off to Iceland. She is taking a much-deserved vacation to do some trekking and spa-ing. Here’s what she’s bringing.

Cold weather trips are not usually on my hit list. But I jumped at the chance to see the Northern Lights and Aurora Borealis at the brightest they have been in past 50 years! My itinerary involves a day out in the Golden Circle (geysers, big waterfalls), a trip to the South Coast to see the famous puffins, a night chasing the Northern Lights, a trip to Reykjavik, and a half day at the Blue Lagoon soaking in the geothermal spa. My essentials:

I do a fair amount of traveling on the weekends. Not to exotic places, but nonetheless, I make frequent trips up to Boston, or home to Chicago, or down to see friends in D.C. But no matter where I go, I never leave home without packing my cosmetic bag full of wipes. These ultra-portable towelettes magically improve my travel routine by leaps and bounds. How so? They’re far more convenient than their full size counterparts, they minimize bulk, and they’re completely spill-proof. Here, the three wipes I always have in my carry-on.
