Early this morning, we flipped the switch on our website (and this blog) and unveiled an updated style and logo that represent the next chapter for the Birchbox brand. Today is also the debut of Birchbox FR and Birchbox ES, and we’re thrilled to celebrate our new look with our four international teams.
As much as we l-o-v-e our visual overhaul, we’re even more excited about what it represents: our commitment to evolving Birchbox to bring you the best discovery experience possible. Here are just some of the recent tweaks we’ve made:

Every month you see Katia, Hayley, and Mollie talk about the upcoming Birchbox and all the new products they’re excited to share with you in our monthly sneak peek. But do you know what products they keep on their vanities?
In honor of this month’s theme, we asked each of these execs to share their daily beauty diaries with us. But before we spill the beans, take a guess at which morning beauty routine belongs to each Birchbox leader:
8:00 a.m. I’m a beauty minimalist, so my morning skincare consists of moisturizer, eye cream, and body lotion. Then, I’ll use a little concealer, minimal eye makeup, and either a lip balm or a fun bold lip. I like to play around and improvise, especially with new samples I receive in my Birchbox.
7:30 a.m. After the shower, I slather Kiehl’s Creme de Corps on my body and apply a face oil (currently in l-o-v-e with Caudalie Divine Oil). For makeup, I mix together Marcelle’s BB Cream in Golden Glow with Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint for a sheer base, then dab on plenty of cream blush. Two coats of mascara, and that’s it.
7:00 a.m. I use Kiehl’s Clay Cleanser in the shower, then follow with Caudalie serum and Tatcha moisturizer and eye cream. I also use TALIKA Lipocils Expert, a lash growth serum, every day.

We’re always talking about the staffers in the Birchbox office, but the ones who you interact with everyday are the ladies of our hard-working Ops team. These fabulous femmes handle all of your customer service woes. We wanted to give you a chance to get to know them even better—so here’s a peek at who’s on the other side of the phone.
Through our chats via email, the phone, and social media, we’ve been receiving a number of frequently asked questions from all of you—and we thought, who better to answer these queries than the people who know best? That’s why we asked our co-founders Katia and Hayley to help address your concerns. Read on for the answers from the women who started it all.
What comes in a Birchbox?
Surprise and delight! And, of course, samples: Our women’s subscription includes four to five beauty samples across categories as well as “extras” that can be beauty-related or more lifestyle-focused (accessories, food, paper goods). The beauty samples are from prestige brands—some that are well known and others that are newly launched or small and niche. The lifestyle extras never take the place of a beauty product.
Birchbox staffers have been known to play the beauty field. With so many fun samples floating around, can you blame us for having a hard time committing? Then again, when we find something we love, we stick to it. In this new feature, we’ll be asking Birchbox staffers to share the products they just can’t quit. Next up, co-founder, Hayley.

Beauty profile: Dry skin, slightly dry hair, classic/low-maintenance.
Products I can’t quit: Since we launched Birchbox, I’ve vowed to only use beauty products we sell in our store. In tech circles, it’s called “eating your own dog food.” If we can’t live off of only what we sell, how could we expect you to? I’ve tested tons of products from our shop but I keep coming back to the same ones over and over again. These are my current favorites.
