This weekend, Coachella was in full swing, and the “it” girls who were at the fest, like Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev (above) were rocking gorgeous, California-cool looks the entire time. In honor of that flirty, laidback style—which, as a California native, I am a huge fan of—here’s everything you’ll need to get a look that’s equal parts cute and easy-to-do:
Not only are we suffering from a serious case of wanderlust, but we’ve also got a touch of the winter blues. The only cure? Vacay! And whenever we’re planning a trip, the first place we consult is Jetsetter. You can’t beat their combination of gorgeous destinations and killer deals. Lately, we’ve been drooling over their Jetsetter Homes collection, with dreamy villas and private rentals. Each day this week, we’ll be showcasing one of their best mid-winter escape properties and making suggestions for what to pack. From exotic beaches to powdery slopes, there’s something for everyone. By Friday, you’ll be ready to hop on a plane. Today’s lust-worthy locale: Jamaica!

We’ve been dying to get to Jamaica for some one-on-one time with the island’s pristine beaches, delicious cuisine (jerk chicken!), and rich cultural heritage. Who doesn’t love a tropical hideaway that gives you seven-mile stretches of white sand and reggae tunes to relax to? There’s no better time to visit this Caribbean paradise than the frenzied winter months. The spot’s easy-going attitude and idyllic terrain will melt away stress in a matter of hours.

A few days ago The Great Photoshop Debate really heated up on our blog when we pondered whether a label on a photoshopped picture could remind us that no one looks as perfect in the flesh as they do in magazines. Now, there’s an even crazier controversy on our hands: how virtual is too virtual? For their new lingerie campaign, H&M took real model’s faces and photoshopped them on top of computer-generated bodies.
Amanda Graber, our new director of PR & strategic partnerships, just jetted off to Georgia for the weekend and we were dying to find out what she packed for a few days in the hot, humid, sticky South. From mascara to maxi dresses, here’s what she brought with her.

Tibi dress, Stella McCartney ’Sheer Stella Eau de Toilette’, Stila Glamoureyes, No-Ad sunscreen, Christine Chin sunscreen, Essie polishes, hair tie
Maxi dresses: The Georgian heat is a killer so less-is-more is definitely my moto when I’m there. I’ll be packing this Yumi Kim dress because it’s effortless and airy.
Hair ties: Alex and Isabelle are my fave, they do the trick. (Hair must be up at all times in the South.) Plus, they also look pretty.
Suncream: No-Ad suncream is my go-to when it comes to SPF on my body. I love that it’s not oily and smells amazing. For my face I use beauty guru Christine Chin SPF 25. (Side note: She gives the best facial in NYC.)
Mascara: Stila Glamoureyes is absolutely perfect for vacation, it stays on all day and makes your eyes really pop.
Perfume: I like to alternate my scents throughout the seasons, so for summer I am wearing Stella McCartney’s ‘Sheer Stella Eau de Toilette. I adore the vintage-looking bottle it comes in because it really dresses up my vanity table.
Nail Polish: I don’t like to wear too much makeup during the summer and let my hands do the talking. I am a true Essie gal and I try to pick a new color every time I visit the salon especially in the summer when you can be more adventurous with color. I also love mixing polishes and one of my favorite combos is Sugar Daddy and Fed Up.
