Last night, Birchboxers stormed Dermalogica’s flagship store in Soho for an invite-only skincare event for our NYC subscribers. Between sipping on wine and snacking on gourmet cheeses, our lovely members had the chance to mingle with Birchbox staffers and see Dermalogica’s expert skin therapists for free consultations and treatments. Click through for our favorite pics of the jam-packed event!

It’s no secret that we’re a pretty mom-centric office. Back when our subscriber count was in the four digits, we joked that mamas Beauchamp, Chen, and Barna were keeping the lights on in the office by buying face cream. Nowadays, even though our membership and our team have grown, we still have plenty of maternal support. Every month, our Birchbox moms send us their own pictures and videos, and tell us their (honest!) opinion of their products. It’s some of our favorite feedback. Here are some pictures of Birchbox moms and their latest deliveries.

“I loved FIX Malibu and Clark’s botanicals smoothing cream, both smell and texture.” —Jane Rissman (a.k.a. Jillian’s mom)

Deborah Prinz (a.k.a. Eric’s mom) couldn’t wait for the mail to arrive!

“At eight degrees in Chicago tomorrow, I am going to face the day with my Borghese Curaforte Moisture Intensifier. Take that, winter!“ —Lisa Stebbins (a.k.a. Meredith’s mom)
Beth Silver (a.k.a. Rachel’s mom) sent us an un-boxing video! She loves her FIX Malibu Immaculate Complexion and Algenist Firming and Lifting Cream.
Did you gift Birchbox to your mom? We’d love to see pictures or video of her enjoying her gift! Send ‘em on over to community@birchbox.com
We love seeing how our creative members repurpose their old Birchboxes. We’ve seen them used as drawer organizers, collage canvases, and nail polish storage containers. But this most recent creation might take the cake: Kathryn, the eight-year-old daughter of Birchbox subscriber Michelle, turned one of her mom’s old boxes into one of the world’s most iconic structures. Pretty impressive, no? We gave the duo a call to get the inside scoop.

Names: Michelle and Kathryn
How long have you been a Birchbox subscriber? Six months.
How did you find out about Birchbox? Someone posted it on Facebook and I was like, “What the heck is a Birchbox?” So I did some research and immediately fell in love with the idea and subscribed that day!
What is your favorite product so far? Alex and Isabelle hair ties. We both love them and have bought three sets!
Who opens the Birchboxs—you or Kathryn? Kathryn. She opens them all. So far she’s claimed the Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink, Harvey Prince Yogini, and Zoya nail polish in Izzy and Krissy.
How did you decide to use a Birchbox as part of the Eiffel Tower? Kathryn’s idea! She had a school assignment to do a presentation on a country and she had to build something to accompany the project. She choose France. We decided we’d try to make the Eiffel Tower out of things we had around the house. When it came time to create the base she said, “How about a Birchbox?”

Thanks again to Michelle and Kathryn for sharing their Birchbox story with us. Do you have a Birchbox story you’d like to share? Send it our way!
A few months ago, we asked all you Birchboxers what you do with your old boxes after you’ve emptied them. Unsurprisingly, you have some pretty creative ideas. This month, we were super excited to see an email from Birchboxer Annie Takeoka who has been a member since March and has endless ideas about ways to use them. Keep reading for all of her suggestions and then click through to her blog for more DIY ideas.
Use #1:
I recently got married and had so many thank you cards to make and write. I recycled a Birchbox and used it to carry all my supplies to and from work everyday. During my breaks, I pulled out the box and worked on the cards. Having everything in one small, CUTE box made it so easy!

Oh, how we love Facebook here at Birchbox. Not only is it the easiest way for us to stalk all our frenemies, it’s also an ideal place for us to connect with our members and share everything that’s happening over at Birchbox HQ.
For better or for worse, Facebook is always introducing new features and last month they released one that we just love. You’re now able to tag your favorite pages, aka Birchbox, in any of your photos, and they’ll show up on our photos tab. Don’t worry— privacy settings still apply.
We love seeing Birchboxes out in the real world and especially love seeing our members use the products in our shop. Go ahead and snap a pic to share next time you’re opening your Birchbox or using your favorite Birchbox products!
-Lorelei
P.S. A major new redesign is rumored to be coming to Facebook soon! Are you excited or anxious?
Are your photos currently lacking a Birchbox? Let’s change that! Sign up today to get the July box, curated by Cynthia Rowley!

If there’s one thing Birchbox editors love more than beauty, it’s food. Specifically chocolate. When we requested that our members send us images of their recycled Birchboxes, we had no idea we were in for a culinary treat. If you saw our post yesterday you already know we have some very crafty members, but Kathy, aka @katopio, really blew us away with her truffles - safely stored in her birchboxes, of course.
