I have to be honest, when I first saw these faux lashes from UK-based company Paperself, I thought they were way over the top. After further investigation, I still wouldn’t wear them out and about, but I think they are just so darn pretty (and absolutely perfect for Lady Gaga). Created by designer Ting Yu Wang, these paper lashes come in multiple designs ranging from peacocks to peach blossoms, and even have symbolic meanings rooted in Chinese culture. A few of my favorites: the butterflies represent freedom, beauty, and sensitivity; the horses represent success; and the peonies represent happiness and good fortune. Although based in London, the company does ship internationally, and you can opt for either the large full-lash size (approximately $20) or the smaller half-lash size (about $17). I have to say, I’m more than just a little intrigued.
