There are few things that we love more than sneaking a peek into the beauty routines of our favorite people. This week, we scored an insider’s look at the gorgeous vanities of two very stylish bloggers: Elizabeth Dehn of Beauty Bets and Christina Caradona of Trop Rouge.
Not only did these two lovely ladies tell us their favorite product picks, they also shared some of their primping secrets—which we’re stealing and adding to our own routines posthaste. Read on to find out their (and soon to be your) must-haves!
I mix this cream with my daily moisturizer and use it as a light cover-up. This helped me especially during this summer—it was light and never felt too packed on.
This shade of purple eyeliner is perfect for my brown eyes. It’s easy to apply and lasts all day. Since I’m always touching my face, I have to wear something that I know is really going to stay put.
I’m obsessed with this color because it gives my lips a very soft, natural pink look. I love pink lipstick.
I love the cooling fresh sensation that I get when I use these wipes, and the smell is a delicious grapefruit.
I’m superpicky about what sort of mascara I use. This one really adds length to my lashes and makes my eyes pop.
I love the lightness of this scent. While at first it might seem like it would just be a summer fragrance, I’m feeling like this is going to be great for fall as well.
I have a big white lacquer tray that houses the essentials. These are the products and pretties I keep in heavy rotation no matter what crazy new lip color, lotion, or potion I’m testing. Obviously I use the term “essentials” loosely—no one NEEDS an Annick Goutal candle, but it definitely puts me in a good mood every time I see it or smell it.
I was recently introduced to these lip colors, and I’m crazy about them. Sunday is such a versatile, wearable red. And that luxe gold case! Speaking of gold, I wear it a lot. My men’s watch and most of my bangles are vintage. The Tiffany & Co. Grand watch was a gift from my husband.
3. Eyewear + Undereye Saviors
I also have a thing for chunky, nerdy glasses, which started in high school with an oversized red pair à la Sally Jesse Raphael (from top: Rowley Eyewear No. 62 in Blush, Lookmatic Vesper, Eyebobs Fizz Ed). Another thing that perks up my peepers like nothing else? Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel, which cools and depuffs.
Unless I have a big meeting or after-hours event, I’ve been reaching for CC creams instead of foundation. It’s got just enough coverage to even out my skin tone and give it a fresh finish, plus it has sun protection FTW.
I usually apply my foundation or CC cream with a kabuki brush for an airbrushed effect. I’ve been super impressed with Sigma Beauty’s synthetic line. They’re incredibly affordable for their professional quality and don’t leave bristles on my face.
6. Everyday Makeup
I’m a minimalist day-to-day, so I’ll opt for a simple look. Dewy skin, rosy cheeks, dark brown eyeliner to set off my minkies, and a swipe of lipstick go a long way. Stila Prime Pot Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer neutralizes my blueish lids and makes me look instantly more awake. I don’t go anywhere without RMS Beauty Living Luminizer, which is a game changer for highlighting and faking J.Lo skin.
One brand that both of these ladies can’t get enough of is natural skincare line, Yes To. For more from this fruit and veggie-friendly collection, plus more standout picks from Beauty Bets and Trop Rouge, check out the Birchbox Shop.
