Upcycle Your Birchboxes: Part Deux

Thanks so much to everyone who emailed images of their recycled birchboxes in response to our earlier blog post. We were excited to receive so many inspiring emails and wanted to share the craftiness with everyone! We’ll definitely be borrowing a few of these ideas for our own boxes. Stay tuned for another Birchboxer who went above and beyond — we just had to feature on her own!

Best Gift Box: Jessica “A couple uses I have is to turn them into gift boxes and decorative storage boxes with supplies I use from crafts stores. Another way is to take paper, paint (in my case I used nail polish), and a marble or bead and do a marble painting that’s great for kids. “

Most Practical X Two:

Courtney: “I use my birchboxes to organize my desk and store office supplies :)”

Rishelle: “I save my boxes and I have three so far. One has a bunch of gift tissue in it for when I need to give someone a gift, its all stored nice and compact in there. The second box is being used to hold cards.”

Guiltiest Pleasure:

Marina: “To hold my ginger chews and jolly ranchers! AKA my sugar box :)”

Most Likely to be Used by a Birchbox Staffer X Three:

Filana: “I use my boxes to organize my makeup drawer. They fit the drawer and all my makeup perfectly!”

Kelly: “Here’s how I upcycle my birchbox! I love using the lid to hold my perfumes as well as my makeup products and even brushes! Hope that inspires others to upcycle!”

Juliana: “I ‘upcycle’ my birchboxes (and old magazines) by making collage-style decorative boxes. I use these boxes to organize and store makeup. They also happen to be the perfect size to hold photos, post cards, and other mementos. Way to go green and keep up the great work!”

Most Aw! Inducing in our Office:

Rhonda: “I wanted to share one way my son has reused the Birchbox itself. Clark snagged my March box to store his squinkies collection.”

Most Holiday Appropriate:

Susan: “I make an Easter basket out of it. I used the Earth Day green outer box for the handle and used the tissue paper that was in the Birchbox for the grass. I had fun making it. I’m going to use it for a Easter basket on Easter day.”

Most Aristic:

Beth: “This was my first Birchbox, and I adored it! The funny thing is… I knew I wanted to repurpose the cardbox box as soon as I saw it! What a great size, and very sturdy! I’m already looking forward to my next delivery.”
