If you’re a fan of OPI nail polish, you might recognize the name Suzi from shades like Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees and Suzi Loves Cowboys. This morning I was lucky enough to have breakfast with the woman behind the names—Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI co-founder and artistic director. The polish pioneer gathered a number of nail aficionados together today to introduce a brand new collection that I can’t wait to start wearing.
Bond Girls, which hits stores next month, features six shades in OPI’s Liquid Sand formula. Think matte, pebbled, and slightly gritty (and totally cool). Suzi’s favorite? Pussy Galore, a pale pink with shimmer. I’m on a serious gold kick these days, so I’ll be trying the sparkly gold Honey Ryder first.
Since you can’t get your hands on these new shades just yet, I asked Suzi to recommend three colors that you just have to have, whether you’re just starting your nail polish collection or you’re a total polish junkie. Her picks:
1. Lincoln Park After Dark, a deep vampy purple. Suzi assures us that you can (and should!) wear dark polish year-round. Just keep your nails short and well-groomed, she says.
2. Bubble Bath, a soft pink neutral—perfect for any occasion.
3. Something funky and a little wild, like a blue or green polish. Suzi recommends Can’t Find My Czechbook, one of her latest bright blues.
Which Bond Girl shade will you be trying this spring?
