As I mentioned recently in my eye makeup tutorial, I have remarkably short, pin-straight lashes. Le sigh. I’ve spent countless hours awkwardly staring at strangers’ long, fluffy lashes wondering what it would be like to have a lush, glamorous fringe. So when Lashem’s Measurable Difference Lash Gel, a new lash serum, landed in our shop I immediately swooped in and offered to test it out.
I was drawn to the serum because the formula is 97 percent natural, and doesn’t use the same peptides or prostaglandins that many other options do. (Side effects from prostaglandins can lead to irritation, discoloration and in some very rare cases, a change in your eye color. Crazy, right?) But after using the serum for six weeks—a bit shy of the recommended 60 days—I can say that at the very worst my eyes were only a tiny bit itchy for a few minutes.
While I did take some pictures of myself before I started using the serum, I couldn’t get close enough to my eyes to showcase the real benefits of the product: the volume. My lashes were a bit longer, but where I saw a noticeable—very welcome—difference was in the fullness. I have much more body and strength, which makes my mascara work even better. I’ll be continuing with the serum until the end of this month and fingers crossed I’ll see even more length!
