A Week Of: Colorful Mascara

Monday: Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effect Faux CILS in Extreme Blue, $30,

I decided to start the week off with a bang and go for a bright blue shade today (plus, it matched my shirt). The formula glided on and easily, coated all of my lashes instantly, and added a ton of volume. I absolutely love this mascara.

Tuesday: Mally Volumizing Double-ended Mascara in Sapphire, $22.80,

I went for blue again today, but the effect is much more subtle. I think this one would even go well with a smoky gray or blue shadow without looking overdone.

Wednesday: Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Mascara in Brown, $29.50,

Today’s I’m in moccasins and a batik print top, so I wanted a natural color for my lashes and this brown was perfect. At first I was intimidated by the crazy ball-shaped spiky wand, but I fell in love with it as soon as I applied. It gave me total precision in applying evenly to all lashes with no clumping.

Thursday: Urban Decay Big Fatty Colored Mascara in Bright Teal, $15.50,

I’m craving spring sunshine and weather today, so I decided to go bright and colorful with my lashes—turquoise! It took a few coats to cover them all, but the effect was well worth it. The color is hard to miss and injected a lot of fun into my day.

Cargo Lash Activator Mascara, $35,

For my last day of mascara color experimentation (at least officially), I decided to add some serious fun: glitter. I applied a coat of Cargo’s Lash Activator Mascara in black and then one of my colleagues brushed a greenish glittery cream shadow onto the mascara. I love the halo-ish glow it gives because it’s still subtle enough for daytime.

Jenna’s luscious long lashes are completely natural, but have grown a ton recently because of the very miraculous product RevitaLash.
