Elizabeth at the salon, post-color. Very excited, as you can see.
It’s the last day of Beauty Bets founder Elizabeth Dehn’s series of hair-tastic guest posts. We’re sad to see her go but hopefully we can convince her to come back and visit soon. For now, check out her blog (yesterday’s Six Simple Acne Solutions is a must-read). Here’s her last tip on resurrecting dry or chemically treated tresses (it’s a surprising one):
Color Your Hair. I realize that sounds like adding insult to injury, but getting your hair did with a semi-permanent—not permanent—color will help restore luster and shine. If you don’t want to change your shade, ask your colorist for a clear gloss and you’ll get the same benefits. (Read her post on coloring her hair for the first time.)
