Emily takes her day look (left) to night (right) in just a few quick steps.
We’ve all had those nights when you’re running late leaving work and have to change your entire look from head to toe. Let me show you the easiest, super-fast way to transform your makeup so no one knows you were a stress ball before you walked into the room.
To start, we’ll say that our day look consisted of tinted moisturizer (or B.B. Cream) a thin line of brown eye liner, light mascara, pinky blush and a berry mouth. Here’s the checklist I follow to completely change up my makeup in five minutes flat. Ready, set…go!
Wipe off your lips and blush, then apply foundation all over. We want a neutral canvas that’s ready to absorb the next look.
Pull out the dark eye shadow and begin your smoky eye. Go heavy on the shadow (I recommend going for all browns), including underneath your eye. You want the focal point of the overall look to be your eyes. Blend, blend, blend and don’t forget to add a pop of highlight to your brow bone.
Use a dark brown or black liner and rim the entire eye.
Apply mascara. If you’re an expert—I say go for false lashes.
Apply the product down along both cheekbones and around the entire forehead. Skip the blush. Blend!
Important! This is key: Use a light concealer (2 shades lighter than your skin color) underneath the eyes, on the sides of the nose, and in the corners of the lips.
Add a pop of sheer pink gloss and you are ready for a night on the town!
