Birchbox Ops Hearts tenoverten Polish: Nailing It

Operations Associate, Loren, has a thing for nails—and we can’t blame her. We love reading about new finishes and fun techniques, so we thought we’d give her a weekly slot on our blog to wax poetic about all things manicure (and pedicure!) related. Check back regularly for Nailing It, Birchbox’s dedicated polish series.

This week, the Operations Team has been obsessed with Tennoverten Nail Polish. The lacquer line, created by the chic New York salon of the same name, includes some of our favorite colors to play with for fall, like eye-catching berry and dark-hued taupe. Take a peek after the jump to see how the Ops ladies are rocking these pretty polishes:

Funky French: Whitney is sporting an unconventional French mani using Jane, a pretty pale pink as her base. She then added Spruce, a creamy taupe, to create a pointy French tip. To finish off, she used a white nail art pen for polka dot accents.

Half-Moon: Surprise—it’s me! In the spirit of the season I chose some darker shades. I first started with Church, a luscious burgundy that I’m definitely going to be wearing all winter. Then I followed up with Walker, a coppery metallic, for the half-moons. These two colors complement each other incredibly well and are definitely one of my new favorite duos.

Statement Nail: If you’re going for more subtle nail art, Alexandra's your girl. Instead of doing a design on all of her digits, she chose to make just one nail stand out. She started off by using Spruce as the base. She then accented each of her ring fingers with Walker, painting only half of the nail, and finished off the look by dotting the lines with dainty Jane.

Are you going to give any of these nail art ideas a try? Will you be using Tenoverten's gorgeous polishes? Tell us in the comments below!
