EXCLUSIVE: Eyeko’s Gorgeous Bedroom Eyes Video
Not so long ago we told you about our not-so-tiny obsession with eyeko’s Fat Eye Sticks. While we couldn’t get enough of their smudgy color sticks, the cult favorite UK beauty brand is actually best known for their incredible mascaras and gorgeous liquid liners (many of you received the pretty eyeliners in your Birchbox earlier this year). The star formulas are favorites of celebrities like Alexa Chung and beauty editors alike, recently making it onto Nylon’s 2012 beauty hit list.
That’s why we’re so pumped to present you with this exclusive video from eyeko. The video, called Bedroom Eyes, features a dreamy model putting on her 60s-style lash and liner look—and the video has inspired us to try the dramatic look this weekend.
“The London girl look is effortless, it’s about easy-to-do eye looks that last as you never know where the day might take you,” said eyeko founder Nina Leykind.
Makeup artist Kay Montano, who has created cover looks for Vogue and Vanity Fair, created the sultry style using the brand’s mascara and liner. ”The video was inspired the famous shot of Marilyn Monroe wrapped up in white sheets with a full face of makeup,” said Leykind. “But instead of doing Marilyn’s red lip, Kay did an update on Twiggy’s eye with drawn on bottom lashes.”
The video, shot by photographer Chris Floyd, is like a gorgeous mini-tutorial on how to apply our eye makeup. We can’t stop watching the model—who has ridiculously long lashes—use eyeko’s mini blue pick to avoid smudges while she applies her mascara. Take a peek below to find out how yourself:
