Tame Your Mane for Your Wedding Day: Guest Blogger

We’ve been planning our dream weddings since we were five years old. So it’s no surprise that we can’t get enough of, a wedding inspiration site that lets you search through pics of swoon-worthy gowns, bouquets, and everything else you need for the big W-day. This week, the ladies behind are taking over the blog to share their favorite bridal beauty tips. Check back every day for a new post!

Whoa there! We’re seeing a serious trend emerging on lately:

Equine inspiration is the latest craze in weddings and the more horses we see, the more we contemplate the state of our own flowing mane. Winter is slowly approaching, which means dehydrated strands will quickly follow. Keep your hair healthy and conditioned with a weekly masque or special treatment. We’re big fans of Ojon’s Damage Reverse. Since you shampoo it out after 20 minutes of application, there’s no oily residue left behind. Only super smooth, glossy locks!

If you’re preparing for an upcoming hair trial, don’t rule out the knotted and braided styles inspired by the Equine trend. It’s a less traditional style but one that can be adapted to a more formal or more casual wedding. When you’re styling, make sure to guard your mane from heat with a protective styling spray and add a texturizing product to help keep strands in place.

Lastly, everyone will want to get close to you on your wedding day so make sure your hair smells incredible! We’re obsessed with the Oribe haircare line for their effectiveness and to-die-for scents. Tuck one of their purse-size sprays in your clutch and retouch throughout the evening. We love their Superfine Spray for updos.

How are you prepping your mane for your big day? Let us know in the comments.

Once you decide on a style for your wedding, you’ll need deep conditioners and heat protectants to get your hair in tip-top shape.
