Condé Nast Names Its First African-American EIC

Lately, it seems like every day brings another major masthead change. Today’s biggie: Keija Minor has been named the new editor-in-chief of Brides magazine. Minor will be the first African-American to head a Condé glossy. Formerly the executive editor of Brides, Minor is taking over from Anne Fulenwider, who has moved over to Marie Claire

If you’re surprised that this is the first time the media giant has had an African-American woman topping one of their editorial mastheads, so are we. Here’s hoping this will lead to more diversity within the pages of Brides—and that other mainstream publications take notice.
