Kate Spade is one presentation that’s always so exciting to attend because it’s always upbeat. For next spring, the brand is going into brights overdrive with poptastic prints and neon accents—and the nails and makeup followed suit. “It’s ’80s-inspired rock-n-roll colors,” explained Jouer artist Neil Scibelli of the look. Certainly, the electric blue shadow that was winged out to the end of the brows and the thick white liner were a playful statement. (Side note: we were thrilled to see Scibelli using Jouer’s latest product, Matte Moisture Tint, on models’ skin—and to be introduced to a forthcoming spring gloss shade, Olivia.)
Bright colors paired with white didn’t stop there. Deborah Lippmann created an exceptionally cool gingham stiletto shaped nail in a variety of shades that mimicked patterns seen within the collection. ”It’s really happy and fun and picnic-y,” said the celeb manicurist of the nails. “This is [Kate Spade’s] 20th anniversary, so they wanted the girl to be very quirky and playful and very Kate Spade—not afraid to mix things together and accessorize—and we all know that nails are the new accessory.” Here here!
FYI: One of our favorite colors that Lipmann used at the show was Lara’s Theme.
