Make A Small Space Feel Bigger With Mirrors: Guest Blogger

In honor of back to school season, we thought it would be fun to share some insights from a few of our favorite savvy students—the girls over at Dormify. This week, they’ve tapped into their legion of style advisors to give us tips on long-lasting makeup, the best way to organize your products, and how to look bright-eyed after a long night.

Mirrors are a great way to inject style into your surroundings and even make a small room feel bigger. One of our favorite tricks is hanging two mirrors on opposite sides of a room facing one another to make the space feel twice as large. We also think it’s super glam to use a small flat mirror on the top of a vanity or dresser as a place to store perfume bottles. Here are some other easy DIY ideas from our style advisors:

  • Karen Hill loves using small circular mirrors on her walls. Either string them together or buy different sizes and hang them in an eclectic way. If you’re looking for something streamlined, check out this Pixical Wall Decor that our staff is obsessed with.

  • Artrell Knight uses mirrors to amp up the lighting in her bathroom by lining them on the ceiling so that they work like in-set lighting.

  • Gabby Bryant like to keep dry erase markers in her bathroom, so that she can draw or sketch notes and various quotes.

How do you use mirrors to decorate?
