Winter weather is brutal on my short hair. I have to wear a hat but inevitably end up with flat hair. Is there a cure for hat hair…or morning hair for that matter? What do you do when bed head is NOT sexy?
Flat, un-sexy hair is a problem everyone has dealt with at one point or another. We’ve been guilty of skipping hats altogether to avoid the dreaded hat hair (we don’t advise this), so we turned to hair stylist Jeff Chastain for his expert opinion. Depending on the type of hat you’re wearing, Jeff advises tying a scarf over your hair first to flatten hair without denting it. Then, you’ll be able to fluff your hair with your fingers once the hat comes off.
If, as we suspect, you’re wearing a tight winter hat, use a dry shampoo or texturizing spray to amp up the volume. We love Blow Faux Dry Shampoo and Oribe Texturizing Spray. These both work wonders on bed head too!
