Lately, I’ve been totally, completely, and wholeheartedly smitten with face sprays. It could very well be the sweltering temps outside, but it could just be that I’ve just finally discovered the right products. First, I fell head over heels for Melvita’s Eau Florale de Rose (another recent love: any product with rose, but more on that later), which I’ve been somewhat obsessively spraying from the left to the right side of my face three to four times daily. But my go-to spritzer just got some new competition: Tatcha’s Luminous Dewy Skin Mist.
Even before testing Tatcha’s version out, I had a good feeling about it. I already rely on the brand’s gold leaf Aburatorigami Blotting Papers to get me through in shiny skin season (ie: summer). The first time I used the Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, I immediately appreciated the weight of the fancy glass bottle and the superb pump that delivers just the right amount—not too much, not too little. In addition to being refreshing, the ultra-lightweight formula hydrates my skin using a combo of squalane, red algae, and a special bioactive complex. Two other major selling points: the scent is barely detectable and the formula does, in fact, leave my skin ever-so-slightly glowy. The spray now has a privileged place on my desk and I’m thinking of taking up a petition for a travel-size version. After all, Tatcha, I need to be able to take this pick-me-up with me anywhere I go.
It’s a fine line between dewy and shiny. Keep skin matte with these helpful tips.
