BB creams are all the rage right now and it seems like every major beauty brand is coming out with their own version. But so far, the trend has really centered around women with Caucasian and Asian skin tones and there hasn’t been a ton of options out there for those of us with darker skin. I, for one, had never tried a BB cream before because I had always assumed there wasn’t a shade that would blend well with my skin. After doing a little research, however, I decided to test drive a few.
The three contenders were stila stay all day 10-in-1, boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++, and Dr.Jart+ Premium. After testing swatches on the side of my face, I quickly ruled out the stila and Dr.Jart+ because they both were too light for my complexion. But the boscia B.B. Cream was different.
One of the selling points for boscia’s B.B. Cream is that it self adjusts to your skin tone. I have to say that I was shocked to see that, even though it looks light when it comes out, it really blended in with my coloring. Plus, it wasn’t the least bit heavy and it gave my skin a nice, matte finish. I’ll definitely be including it in my daily beauty regimen from now on—and I’ve learned my lesson to give products a chance before dismissing them.
