Polishes and Markers Sitting in A Tree: Guest Blogger

This week’s guest blogger, Kalyca Romeo of Romeostyle.com, is one seriously talented lady. After graduating from the Fashion Institute for Technology eight years ago, New York-based fashion insider has worked as a buyer, a designer, and a particularly savvy personal stylist. We’re loving her tips on crafting the perfect date night outfit, rocking the latest white styles, and test-driving Fall/Winter makeup looks right now.

Nail polish has become a way to make our fingers and toes look like the pages of a coloring book. The days of red lacquer being a statement are long gone—there are endless options, and some of us have our cabinets filled with tiny bottles to prove it.

But what is to be done when you have nail polishes you no longer want to wear or can’t wear due to expiration (one to two years later)? Instead of tossing your money away, why not use them in an artistic way? I decided to create my own version of “Color Within The Lines” by using my collection of nail polishes and color markers that are usually used for my fashion illustrations.
