If you’re lucky enough to be heading to Paris this weekend for the Haute Couture shows (running July 1-5), the place to stay is the Mandarin Oriental, Paris. The very chic and very Parisian hotel is located neatly on rue Saint-Honoré between Jardin des Tuileries and Place Vendôme—perfectly situated for hopping between shows and people watching at the Carrousel du Louvre. This morning, I had a chance to meet with the hotel’s lovely Communications Director, Emilie Pichon, and she filled me in on the latest at the year-old property. The first French outpost of the Mandarin Oriental group, it has luxe rooms and a swanky restaurant, but the highlight might be the incredible spa.

What better way to relax after a long day of covering shows than with a massage and facial in a private treatment suite. No fashionista wants to slog through a communal locker room with their hair mussed—happily each private treatment suite includes a changing room and steam shower. Right now, we recommend indulging in the Bloom into Summer treatment, an 80-minute massage using a custom oil blend of ylang ylang and precious rose. Other highlights include the three-hour, 20-minute Paris Passion treatment (pomegranate and honey body scrub, body wrap, and facial treatment) and exclusive facial treatments from Guerlain. Le sigh, if only we were leaving NYC behind for Paris.
Not much can compare to the indulgence of a spa treatment at a Mandarin Oriental Spa but you can fake it yourself with our guide to at-home spa treatments.
