This week’s guest blogger, Vida Lee, hits close to home for us—literally! She’s a beauty guru based in our hometown: New York City. Aside from being a product addict, she’s also a medical school student (whoa!) who makes time on the side for her pretty blog, P.S. It’s Vida. Over the next few days, the smarty savant will be sharing her greatest tips and tricks for staying prepped and primed for summer.
I hate that feeling when you look down at your feet and realize your pedicure color doesn’t go all that well with the sandals you have on. Since I like combos that coordinate, here are a few suggestions:
From left to right; top to bottom
TOMS Sofie Strappy Wedge + Zoya Arizona: This chambray wedge has a blue-gray denim look that works well with a bright coral like this one from Zoya’s new Beach & Surf Summer collection.
Zara Wedge + Essie Topless and Barefoot: I find that red or tangerine shoes are the hardest to pair with a pedicure. Any bright colors that I wear seem to clash or look overdone. So, I suggest using a neutral and this one from Essie strikes that perfect balance between pink and taupe.
Aldo Brendle + Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet: This easy-breezy flat sandal is all about color, so why not add another one into the mix? I think this pretty mint green Sally Hansen shade is a nice complement.
Michael Kors Nadina + American Apparel Sunshine State: Neutral shoes go with basically everything, but I like to wear them with the brightest, boldest polishes in my collection. This canary yellow American Apparel color, for example, would look amazing against the tan straps of this chunky platform.
Sophya Sandal + OPI Panda-monium Pink: My favorite color combination at the moment is lilac and pale grey. OPI’s Panda-monium Pink is a lilac color with pink undertones, so it is very flattering and easy to wear.
Do you have any favorite pedicures to go along with your shoes?
