Two Products I Should’ve Brought to My Friend’s Wedding

This past weekend, I was in Charleston for the wedding of one of my best friends (hi Allidah!). In addition to being too much fun, the trip kicked off my jam-packed schedule of summer weddings. Before I head off to the next one (Charlottesville this time!), I’ll be rejiggering my makeup bag to include two key items that I forgot:
Exfoliator
Yes, all eyes are on the bride, but you still want to look as gorgeous as possible, too. (All those pictures!) When I arrived in South Carolina, I realized that my skin was in pretty ragged condition. I needed a good, clarifying exfoliating session—but I didn’t have any product on hand. From now on, I’ll be toting the mini version of my favorite Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, a gentle rice-based exfoliator that brightens skin without any red after-effects.
Styling Spray
Even if you’re getting your hair and makeup done for a wedding (which I did), you should always bring your favorite products. I learned this the hard way when I neglected to pack my own styling spray, and had to make do with the hairdresser’s much crunchier version. Lately, I’m loving Ojon volume advance™ Volumizing Styling Spray, which gives me just enough fullness and hold. Plus, it dries soft so I can still run my fingers through my hair.
