Operations associate, Loren, has a thing for nails—and we can’t blame her. We love reading about new finishes and fun techniques, so we thought we’d give her a weekly slot on our blog to wax poetic about all things manicure (and pedicure!) related. Check back every week for Nailing It, Birchbox’s dedicated polish series.
There’s been a lot of buzz around the Zoya Birchblogger Collection and with such delicious shades, who can’t help but fall in love with them? This trio of jellies each works fantastic on its own, but they’re also great layering, color blocking, and doing all kinds of cool nail art. I got inspired the other day and thought I try the ultimate Birchbox manicure. Click through for details!
Like every proper manicure, I began with a base coat. Next, I painted a layer of white polish because I really wanted these jellies to stand out. After that, the first color I used was Kate, a bright grapefruit, and I painted it on all of my digits except my ring fingers, which I saved as statement nails. A few minutes later, I layered Belle, a shimmery copper pink, on the same eight fingers. Once everything was good and dry, I used a paperclip (and patience!) to create the Birchbox logo on my ring fingers. The last step was a top coat, and that’s all it took to achieve my very Birchbox-y design!
