Struggling to tell your boyfriend how you really feel? Start wearing this fragrance and he might get the hint. Innamorata is the newest fragrance from Italian design house Blumarine, and is designed to be worn when you’re in love. The fragrance includes fruity top notes, middle notes of ylang ylang and magnolia, and base notes of benzoin, creamy musk, and cashmeran. It was designed by Sophie Labbé and Olivier Polge, the duo behind one of our favorite fragrances, Bulgari Mon Jasmine Noir.
Blumarine founder Anna Molinari told WWD, “[the fragrance is] very seductive, sensual and romantic, and it follows the theme of our fashion. It’s very important for a woman to match her clothes to her mood, and also her perfume to her mood.” It’s true that many women wear different fragrances depending on their mood—when they need a pick-me-up or when they want to feel sexy—so it’s not a huge stretch to imagine you could wear a specific fragrance when you’re in love. Still, fragrance is such a personal experience that I’d think the way I want to smell when I’m in love is certainly different from others. Innamorata is launching in Europe this month but won’t be available here in the U.S. until January or February 2013, so we’ll have to wait to find out just what effect it has.
