As if you needed one more reason to spend your life surfing the internet, online collaging community Polyvore just released a new beauty feature that lets you create round-ups of your favorite products. Part shopping destination, part aspirational bookmarking site, Polyvore is a favorite site among fashionistas eager to show off their color-coordinating abilities. While we’ve always been able to add a lipstick here or a fragrance there on Polyvore, we’re more excited than ever because now the site makes finding them even easier. Here’s how it works:
Once you create an account, you can find images using Polyvore’s online directory, which pulls in pictures from every luxe retail destination imaginable. You can search by hyper-specific colors like tangerine, individual products, or both. A simple query for “pink nail polish”, for example, yielded hundreds of results (we finally settled on the creamy OPI polish in our DIY collage above). If you’re looking for inspiration, you can “shop” by category (makeup, nail polish), or trend (pastel makeup, metallic nail polish). You can also download Polyvore’s Clipper, which lets you crop images from external sites and paste them into a collage. Overall, the site is very user-friendly, and it makes organizing your beauty wish list a breeze. And since each image comes with a link to its original site, online retail therapy is just a click away—which may be good or bad news depending on the size of your budget.
Will you be using Polyvore to keep track of the beauty products you’ve been eyeing?
