In case you haven’t heard, neon is the biggest trend for spring—and it extends way beyond clothing. In fact, our favorite way to wear these flamboyant shades is on our nails, and no one does neon shades better than Color Club. From shocking violet to in-your-face magenta to electric blue, every color feels fun and fresh.
But we totally get that a loud-and-proud manicure isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. For those of you who are skeptics or first-timers to the world of conversation-starting nails, we have three suggestion for toning these poptastic hues down:
1) As a Statement Nail: Instead of painting all ten of your digits something super-bright, how about just two of them? Our favorite combo is a nude lacquer for the majority of your fingers combined with a wild teal or cheery yellow on your ring fingers.
2) As a French Manicure: We’re not normally French manicure enthusiasts, but whenever color is involved, count us in. If you’re timid when it comes to brights, this is a less dramatic way of experimenting. Just paint your nails with a clear lacquer or a beige-toned polish, then add a set of neon tips.
3) On Your Toes: Perhaps the most subdued suggestion of them all, a neon pedicure can always be covered up. If you’re a neon diehard, but a fuchsia mani wouldn’t go over well with your boss, this is a totally safe route that still lets you play around with spring’s most vibrant shades.
If you’re still not convinced that mega colors are your thing, we offer plenty of other Color Club polishes!
