MAC To Launch A Marilyn Monroe Makeup Collection

Stop everything. Blockbuster color-company MAC cosmetics has just announced that it will be releasing an exclusive, limited edition Marilyn Monroe collection. We’ve seen the blonde bombshell popping up at the top of everyone’s list these days, from Michelle William’s film My Week With Marilyn to the sassy Norma Jean-inspired musical in NBC’s new show Smash. Will 2012 be the year of Marilyn?
The new collection will launch this October, in collaboration with Authentic Brands Group LLC, and will include eye shadows, lipstick, nail polish, and eyeliners. According to WWD, all of the collection’s 30 custom-designed units will range in price from $15 to $27.
We don’t know about you, but we’ve already pulled copies of The Seven Year Itch and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes so that we’re fully prepared.
