The Vibe: Very 1970s, Helmut Newton-inspired. “There’s a mix of masculine and feminine items in her collection,” said lead makeup artist Tina Turnbow for NYX. “So we were trying to think of something that would have that feeling, like this pulled-out V.” The eyes were certainly the most striking part of the makeup look. Perfectly smoky and in a very flattering almond-shape, they were created entirely through using NYX’s jumbo pencils. “I am literally just drawing them in and then smudging the color with my fingers,” said Turnbow. “I prefer to just use pencils to create a smoky eye because it never looks too perfectly done and you don’t get that shadow fall off.”
