Feminine Frontier Women at Porter Grey

The Show: Porter Grey

Hair: Rebecca Naftzger for Cutler/Redken

Makeup: Jose Rivera for Sephora PRO

Nails: Josephine More for China Glaze, using Call of the Wild

The Vibe: Strong, independent women with a touch of femininity and prettiness. Lead stylist Rebecca Naftzger kept hairstyles simple, with center parts and gentle face-framing waves—ends were left straight to give a sleek finish. “We wanted slight movement in the hair to help balance the angles in the clothes,” said Naftzger. To get the look, Naftzger used a large curling iron to create slight curls, which were then brushed out and spritzed with Redken fashion work 12 spray.

Lead makeup artist Jose Rivera stayed with the same theme of simplicity. Skin was given a luminous glow using Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and Smashbox mineral powder. To give eyes a subtle pop, Rivera used Makeup Forever black liner to line the rims before adding a swipe of Lancôme definicils mascara. Cheeks, however, were the focal point. “The idea was to create a windblown look,” said Rivera, which he achieved by taking Lorac blush in rose and peach and brushing it from the ear to the nose across the cheek. To complete the clean style, lips were colored with nude lipstick and topped with rosebud lip salve for a light glisten.
