L’Oreal Paris has just named 18 year-old model Barbara Palvin their newest ambassador. Palvin will make her debut for the brand as the print and television face of a new lipstick, Rouge Caresse, starting this month. Speaking to WWD, Cyril Chapuy, the global brand president of L’Oréal Paris, said “he was struck by Palvin’s ‘strong character and self-assurance,’” and called her “a very promising supermodel with a fascinating personality, [a] fresh and elegant beauty with a great sense of humor and astonishing maturity.” He continued, “I think she has this incredible potential to become a household name.” Palvin has already walked for Louis Vuitton, Prada, Miu Miu and Chanel, and has appeared on the cover of titles like French Elle, Russian Vogue, and Korean Harper’s Bazaar, but hasn’t achieved mainstream recognition yet. This recent contract certainly has the power to catapult her to household name status, as Chapuy predicts.
We’re envious of Palvin’s perfect winged liner and we’ll be creating our own with Designer Liner.
