Some people were born with two left feet, but I swear I was born with two left hands. Translation? Every time I try to give myself a manicure, I end up with stray polish on my cuticles, the pads of my fingers, and even my knuckles (don’t ask). But I couldn’t resist giving it another shot when I came across the lovely pastel polishes in Zoya’s new Feel Collection.
I could deliberate over my favorite shades in the collection for days, but three really stand out. Avery is a creamy blond-beige that will take you all the way to April Fool’s. Kendal is a spot-on lavender that’s a little Stepford and a lot cool, while Carey is a periwinkle gray that feels calm and collected. And in case you didn’t know, Zoya’s polishes are famously chip-free and last 50 percent longer than drugstore brands. Better yet, they go on opaque with just one coat, so I don’t need to apply ten gazillion layers of polish. For someone who’s prone to serious spillage issues, this is as user-friendly as it gets.
I may never be a manicure pro, and the prospects of attempting DIY nail art still gives me nightmares, but even I can hop on board the single-shade pastel bandwagon. Hooray for goofproof manicures!
