We don’t know about you guys, but we’re suckers for beautifully designed packaging. If it’s sleek, smart (this button does what?) and especially if it has hidden pockets or other such goodies within, we’re sold. Which is why Guerlain’s new Noir G mascara had us at hello.
The midnight black case is a new iteration of similar packaging used on Guerlain’s Rouge G lipstick line from 2009; the only difference being that previously, you had to fully remove the lipstick from the tube for the mirror to open. With Noir G’s next-gen model, all you have to do to catch your reflection is pull the case till you hear a click, then unscrew to pull out the actual brush. (Perhaps also worth mentioning is that formula uses a plankton extract which helps new lashes grow by stimulating keratin production. But, frankly, we’re most obsessed with the spy-chic case.)
Not only does the sexy bullet-like design have a hidden mirror, but even better, the formula is replaceable. Pretty compacts with changeable eye shadows and blush have always been highly-coveted, but this is the first we’ve heard of a mascara case with a replacement option. It looks like the refill is the tube portion with the formula and the wand. We have a feeling this could be the beginning of a whole new trend in mascara packaging, and we’re pretty excited.
Have you heard of another refillable mascara and did it look as stylish as this one? Are you as antsy as we are to snag your own Noir G? Tell us in the comments!
While we wait for our very own Noir G, we’re rocking this great tubing mascara by blinc.
