Your celebrity clients look to you to help them get camera-ready. How would you describe your technique?
I use my own products on all my clients, but I’ve been mixing and creating products on my own for years. Sometimes people have their favorite skincare they like to use, which is great, but as a makeup artist we’re hired and trusted by our clients to use what we think is best for the target look.
What’s one backstage makeup trick women can use every day?
A lot of women have trouble doing winged liner. But if you take a business card, credit card, or matchbook, you can hold it flat against the outer corner of your eye and use a black shadow to create the wing you want.
Name some easy ways to update your makeup look for winter.
Switch to a hydrating foundation. And make sure the shade matches with your skin, which tends to be paler in the winter months. Don’t use summer colors. Bold lips are great around this time of year.
Last season, it was all about bold brows. What beauty trend do you think will be most popular next year?
Long lashes have been trending since forever, and they’re not disappearing anytime soon!
