Get Glowy With Face Oils: Guest Blogger

Who doesn’t love toast? We sure do, and as much enthusiasm as we have for the delicious complex carbohydrate, we love the blog A Piece of Toast even more. The masterminds behind the beauty amalgamation of covet-worthy products, style inspiration, and yes, yummy food, are sisters Sally Ann and Molly Bernadette. This week, the Molly is graciously bringing her flair to our blog, dishing on everything from the best hair masks to perfect holiday gifts.

Face serums and oils seem to be one of the biggest trends in skin care these days and after reading so many positive reviews about the benefits and ‘glow’ they deliver, I jumped on the bandwagon — and haven’t looked back since!  If you haven’t tried incorporating oil into your daily skin routine, I hope I can convince you…

The three oils/serums you see above are the ones I have tried and used.  Each has a different formula and on my skin, they each yielded different results.

01. Acure Organics Seriously Firming Facial Serum. Designed to firm skin while also providing the radiance associated with using face oil, this was the first serum I had ever tried on my skin. This is the most oily of the three serums and, for me, it never fully absorbed into my skin before I hopped into bed. But I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a firming result in a serum.

02. Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil.  The so-called ‘gold standard’ of face oils, I was very excited to get my hands on some Rodin Olio Lusso. Now that I have tried it, I must say it lives up to the hype. This oil smells amazing and sinks into my skin very quickly. Aside from making my skin dewy, I noticed that it also soothed some of my blemishes and gave my complexion a more even look.

03. Sunday Riley Juno Transformative Lipid Serum.  This is the most recent serum I have be able to test drive and I think it might be the perfect match for my skin!  The scent is a little different (smells more woodsey and less floral than the other two), but like the Rodin Oil, it sinks in quickly. I love it because it has completely cleared up my skin — small patches of bumps are gone, blemishes reduced in redness, and I feel like my pores have even reduced in size!  I wake up with a little glow and feeling much better about my skin.

Face oils and serums might not be great for everyone’s daily skin routine but my skin has never been happier!  This is one skin trend I’m so happy I tried.
