Pre-haircut with a side part and post-cut with a middle part.
For the past seven years, I’ve had some variation on the same hair cut: long layers, side bang. And I have been committed to my side bangs. I’ll often leave the house with sopping wet strands but never — never — without parting my hair to the side. The reason? I was convinced that diagonal bangs made my round, chipmunk cheeks look more defined. As far as I was concerned, it was the only look for me. That was until this morning anyway.
Hair stylist Mike Viggue (an admitted ‘center part guy’) convinced me that I was ready to try something new. He says that when done properly, center bangs “play off your bone structure and flatter your face shape.” I’ll buy it. If anything, I feel like I’ve had a mini makeover.
