FAUX is hands down our go-to resource for false lashes for any occasion. Their lashes range from first date wearable to costume party-ready…which is perfect since we’ve yet to nail down a Halloween costume. Luckily, the lovely ladies from FAUX — founder Sterling, COO Miranda, and chief of marketing and PR Alexia — have some fabulous costume ideas. We’ve already seen their amazing Black Swan and Cleopatra costumes and today we’re featuring a classic: Holly Golightly, aka Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. There’s only one week left to plan your outfit — don’t put it off any longer!
Read on for all the steps to achieve this look. Photos courtesy of FAUX.
Step 1: Flawless Skin
Perfect your skin with a lightweight liquid foundation and a creamy concealer, then set with a bit of translucent powder.
Step 2: Defined Brows
Audrey’s brows were very full and defined, so you may need to draw a bit outside of your natural brow shape to recreate this look. The FAUX ladies suggest a dark brown matte powder shadow to give definition without looking too harsh. Try stila Eye Shadow in Java.
Step 3: Bright Eyes
Swipe a light neutral matte shadow across the eye, from lash line up to brow bone. Add a mid-toned golden brown matte shadow into the crease of the eye, slightly extending the outer corners. Using a black liquid liner, line the eye, winging the outer corners up and out. For help, watch our video tutorials on eye shadow contouring and winged liner.
Step 4: Major Lashes
Step 5: Healthy, Glowing Skin and Lips
Follow with a warm peachy blush to the apples of the cheeks, extending back along the cheekbones. For the final touch, swipe a peachy coral gloss over the lips and voila, you are ready for breakfast at Tiffany’s!
